GEPC organises Ghanaian SMEs to Abuja International Trade Fair

GEPC ORGANISES GHANAIAN SMES TO ABUJA INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR
Ghana Export Promotion Council (GEPC) has organised 20 producers and exporters to participate in the Abuja International Fair currently underway in Nigeria from 8th to 20th April 2010. The delegation was led by the Chief Executive Officer of GEPC, Mr. Kwadwo Owusu Agyeman.
Mr. Kwadwo Owusu Agyeman intimated that GEPC is working assiduously to expand Ghana’s non-traditional exports (NTE) markets to enable it achieve its targetted export revenue of US$5billion by 2015. It will particularly focus on market penetration and consolidation in Africa as well as markets in Asia including China, Japan and India.
Ghana’s participation in the Abuja Fair was made possible with support from the Export Development Fund. Products on exhibition include aluminium household utensils, herbal preparations, processed foods, textiles and garments and cosmetics. April 14, 2010 has been slated as ‘Ghana Day’ to give the nation the opportunity to promote and highlight the economic potentials of Ghana.
